Team events in Berlin

Two ways to spend an evening with your team, both private and planned with you. Cook a three-course dinner with a chef and eat it together at one table, or walk to three restaurants in Mitte for starters to share, a main course and desserts to share. For companies and private groups of up to 25 guests.

Cooking class:
three courses, cooked together

German Christmas

German Christmas

The German Christmas table. December dates book up first, so if you're planning a Christmas party, ask now. What you cook: a lentil stew to start, then duck with roasted potatoes, spinach and a raspberry sauce. Spekulatius ice cream to finish, made with the spiced biscuits Germans buy by the box every December. Glühwein to warm up.
Modern German Cuisine with a Berlin Twist

Modern German Cuisine with a Berlin Twist

The dishes Berliners grew up with, from market-stall Kartoffelpuffer to East Berlin's Königsberger Klopse. What you cook: Kartoffelpuffer with smoked trout, horseradish cream, quick-pickled beetroot and a Spreewald gherkin relish. Königsberger Klopse, veal meatballs in a lemon-caper sauce, with brown-butter mash and cucumber salad. Quarkkeulchen with warm apple compote and cinnamon sugar.
Vietnamese Street Food

Vietnamese Street Food

Vietnamese food came to Berlin with refugees in the West in the late 1970s and contract workers in the East in the 1980s. What you cook: spring rolls with a peanut dip, salmon steamed in a ginger-garlic sauce with rice, and a Vietnamese coffee flan.
Italian Handmade Pasta

Italian Handmade Pasta

Italian cooking at home starts with a few good ingredients and pasta made by hand. In this class, we roll, cut and fill fresh pasta together, and learn the simple techniques Italian families still use every day. The starter and main course are chosen with you from our wide range of Italian dishes, from spinach and ricotta gnudi in sage butter to pappardelle and tortelli, and the meal always ends with tiramisu. A hands-on class that finishes around one table, ideal for teams who like to cook together.

Which evening?

Evening food tour:
three restaurants,
three courses

A dinner that moves through Mitte. We meet at 18:30, walk to three restaurants: starters to share in the first, a main course in the second and desserts to share in the third. On the way we tell the story of the neighbourhood and of how Berlin eats today: who opened these places, what changed in the city’s kitchens, and what Berliners order when they go out. The evening takes about three and a half to four hours.

What we eat

Starters: modern German cooking, plates to share.
Main course: contemporary international cooking, with side dishes.
Desserts: a mix of desserts to share.
Drinks are included with every course.

Frequently asked questions

Where does it take place?

The cooking class takes place in one of the event kitchens we work with in central Berlin, or in your office. At your office you provide space to work in, running water, power outlets, and tables and chairs. We bring the cooking equipment and arrive 90 minutes early to set up.

The evening food tour starts at 18:30 in Mitte and moves on foot between three restaurants.

Which restaurants do you go to on the evening food tour?

We choose the restaurants for your date and your group. Which places and the exact menu are confirmed in your quote, depending on availability.

How do we get between the restaurants?

On foot. A car or a bus can be arranged at extra cost, depending on the size of your group.

Which languages do you offer?

Cooking classes and evening food tours: English, German, Hebrew or Italian. Tell us in your inquiry which one your group prefers.

Can you cater for different diets?

Yes. In the cooking class there’s always a vegetarian option. Vegan, kosher-style and halal-style menus are available on request (not certified). Guests with different diets cook alongside everyone else and eat a full parallel dish, so nobody is left out.

On the evening food tour, tell us in your inquiry and we arrange vegetarian dishes and allergies with the restaurants in advance.

How much does it cost?

Cooking class: €120 per person plus VAT, or €110 per person from 20 guests. The minimum charge is €1,200 plus VAT, the equivalent of 10 guests. Saturdays and Sundays cost an extra €25 per person plus VAT. Hosting in your office takes €400 plus VAT off the total.

How do booking and payment work?

A 20% deposit confirms your date. Confirm the final number of guests 3 days before. For the cooking class, the final price follows that number, never below the €1,200 minimum, and the balance is invoiced to your company within 7 days after the class, or paid by card on the day. Both invoices show VAT. For the evening food tour, the payment details are set out in your quote.

What if we need to cancel?

More than 30 days before the event, the deposit is refunded. Between 30 and 15 days, the 20% deposit is kept. Between 14 and 4 days, 50% of the quoted price is due. 3 days or less before, 100% of the quoted price is due. For the cooking class, the price never falls below the €1,200 minimum.

Can we add something to the evening?

Yes. A welcome drink, time for a speech, a cake for a birthday or a farewell: tell us about the occasion in your inquiry and we’ll plan the evening around it.

Can I join on my own?

Not at the moment. Every cooking class is private, for a group of 2 to 25 guests, and so are our evening food tours for team events.

How far ahead should we book?

The earlier you ask, the more dates are open, and December books up first. Shorter notice is often possible too. We usually reply within 24 hours.
