  • What should I bring with me?
    Just your appetite 🙂 and a public transport ticket, but we can also help you to buy it. Comfortable walking shoes are always recommended as well as warm clothes during winter.
  • Are the food tours suitable for people with dietary restrictions?
    Yes, we strive to accommodate various dietary restrictions and preferences. When booking a tour with Elements of Food, you can provide us with any specific dietary requirements, such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or allergies. Our team will make every effort to curate a food tour experience that suits your needs. We work closely with our partner establishments to ensure they can provide suitable alternatives or modifications to cater to different dietary restrictions.
  • Will there be bathroom breaks?
    Of course we also keep that in mind.
  • What size are the tour groups?
    While private tours have no limitations (yes, we can even accommodate up to 50 people for corporate tours), our public tours are capped at 8 participants to ensure the best possible experience for everyone.
  • What happens in case of bad weather?
    Our tours are running all year round. In case of extreme weather conditions, you will be obviously refunded in full.
  • How do I book a tour, and what is the cancellation policy?
    you can pay online in advance, or on the day of the tour using cash or card. For public tours, advance payment is required to secure your spot. We offer a full refund for cancellations up to 48 hours before the tour date for any reason.
  • How much walking is involved?
    It’s a walking tour, but our routes are designed to accommodate everyone, featuring a relaxed pace with sitting stops and the use of public transportation when necessary. We also ensure wheelchair accessibility, and all of our tours are planned with this in mind.
  • What makes Elements of Food tours unique?
    Elements of Food tours are unique because we focus on providing immersive and authentic culinary experiences. Our tours go beyond just tasting food; they delve into the cultural and historical aspects of the local cuisine. We carefully select our partner establishments to showcase a diverse range of flavors and ingredients. Additionally, our knowledgeable guides offer insights into the culinary traditions, local ingredients, and the stories behind each dish, making our tours educational and enriching.
  • What is included in the price of the tour?
    All food and beverage costs are included in the price of the tour, as well as VAT. The cost of public transportation tickets is not included.
  • What will we eat on the tour?
    Details on the types of food sampled, including any regional specialties or unique dishes specific to the tour location and you can find them under each tour description.
  • How long does the tour last?
    All tours last 4 hours unless indicated otherwise.
  • Can children participate in the food tours?
    Absolutely! We believe that food tours can be a fun and educational experience for the whole family. While some of our tours may have age restrictions due to the nature of certain venues or alcoholic beverages being served, we offer family-friendly tours specifically designed for children and their parents. These tours include a selection of tastings that appeal to younger palates and provide an opportunity for children to learn about different foods, cultures, and culinary traditions.
