The tour describes the historical developments in the area through the local food. From the farmers' markets to the luxurious department stores of the early 20th century, Berlin has changed a lot over the years. The area, which is poor in natural resources, has been greatly influenced throughout history by the cuisines of immigrants and geographically close areas. On the tour we will pass through local markets and food establishments that tell the story of Berlin.

The route can be changed according to your personal preferences and can be booked every day between Tuesday and Saturday. The tour lasts about four hours. Please indicate in the referral form if you suffer from allergies or any food restrictions.

Isola Tour

On what days? Monday to Saturday

when do we start? At 10.00 or 11.00 your choice.

How long is the tour? about four hours.

We will pick you up from the hotel or any other point you choose.

Our tour combines no-nonsense pillars of local community food resisting
gentrification in the Isola quarter, and the international, immigrant-rich and
contemporary Milan of today. A story comes together with the flavours and
personalities of an ex-working class area and its cuisine still fighting on today,
but now living side-by-side with Milan at its grandest and mo
st modern.

The Charlottenburg district was in the past the city center of West Berlin and today it is a place of residence of the West Berlin bourgeoisie of the past. Accordingly, here you can find the food establishments of the past, which are no longer traceable in the eastern part of the city. This tour includes, among other things, a visit to the local market, a ninety-year-old fish smokehouse and a special cheese shop.
